Project Director Required for National Subsea Research Initiative (NSRI)

As the managing member of NSRI, Subsea UK are currently seeking for an executive to lead the National Subsea Research Initiative. NSRI’s aim is to become the focal point for the UK’s subsea oil and gas sector research and development activities by facilitating a direct link between the subsea community, academia, research funding organisations and government bodies.

NSRI is an independent, not for profit company which will work closely with Subsea UK to become the champion of subsea technology development. It will provide understanding and knowledge of subsea technology needs and make this available to subsea companies throughout the UK.

As the industry’s advisory body and interface for subsea R&D activities, it will act as the conduit of knowledge transfer between industry and academia, building stronger links between the industry and the UK’s academic community, with the aim of increasing subsea related research in the UK.

The role of the NSRI Project Director will be to execute a business plan in support of these aims supported by a Subsea Technology Advisory Group and reporting to the board of NSRI.
